SPHYNX CARE 101

Sphynx cats are a high-maintenance breed and require a lot of grooming, despite their lack of hair.

Here I will list some basic sphynx care tips

THE BASICS

BATHING

Because sphynx are hairless, routine bathing at least every 1-2 weeks can help decrease the extra debris, oils and the chance of secondary skin infections. You can use baby shampoo to bathe your Sphynx

NAILS

The lack of fur that normally acts as a barrier to dirt and litter can lead to nail and skin problems if not properly cleaned. So, be sure to clean their toes and trim their nails regularly to avoid any issues.

EARS

The insides of the ears will get waxy and need to be cleaned on a weekly basis, using a pet ear cleaner from your vet

Eyes

Eye discharge is normal for sphynx cats since they don't have eyelashes. you can remove and build up gently with a facecloth and warm water.
